Andy

I think baby books might be my favorite albums to make so far! Andy was made for a friend expecting a little baby boy.
The album is covered in a flannel baby blanket (stripes by Carters and animal print by tiddliwinks) chosen to match her animal nursery theme.
At first, I had a difficult time with the flannel texture on an album and then decided to run with the blanket idea rather than fight it.
(why do I always do this? Letting loose of set ideas and
just playing always turns out better!)
Incorporating felt, buttons, satin ribbon, and a little blanket stitching did the trick......and did I mention it was soooo much fun!!!?
Congratulations Brian and Tiffany!!

"June, I'm home!"

Warm apple pie, roast and potatoes cooking in a pot, chicken noodle soup that your mom made when you were feeling sick, or chocolate chip cookies fresh from your grandma's oven.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh............
I may not have been born to experience the 50's, but for some reason kitchen things from that era give me this feeling. That's why I've decided to give my kitchen a blast from the past makeover!
It seems I've finally painted a piece of pottery I'm happy with! I'm not even going to be modest about it when I say I just love this new polka dot butter dish!!!
Hot, steamy rolls with butter anyone?

Annabelle

Annabelle
Each time I've been pregnant, I've dreamt up different themes for the nursery......

One undersea adventure, many a boy bugs, a monkey swinging jungle, lots of blue, and three boys later.......

I've finally had a chance to release the butterfly garden I've had pent up for four years! Find Annabelle in my etsy shop!

Maize

Maize
Another new photo album

This book was so much fun to make!
My mom and I agree that for something to be finished it has to "sing" to you. Everything about the book was finished except for the binding ribbon and it wasn't quite right. My mom placed a piece of this bright pink ribbon over the book and it sang!! I just love how it turned out, good call mom!

You can find Maize in my etsy shop.
